Going for it..
Just thought I’d dust off the cobwebs of this blog and put some updated 1’s and 0’s. I go through phases of blogging like an addict and avoiding it like the plague. I don’t know how long this phase is going to last…
Went to Maui and visited a new acquaintance and made even newer ones. I heard that Donavon Frankenreiter opened a new bar and rumor had it that he was playing a set so I checked it out. It was pretty sick and the vibe was pure local style..laidback. The legendary waterman, Titus Kinimaka backed him on vocals and guitar. I thought he looked a lil iced-out and so did said new acquaintance. Pretty sad.
All in all it was a great two days—got some surf in and ate a burrito, the two pre-reqs when I go off island. I had to take the first boat back today which set me up for a day of fatigue. Oh well, like my cousin says, “You play, you pay” I think I got more play on this trip though..:)
